Refund & cancellation
Cancel whenever you like, keep everything you saved, and get your money back if Inspistor was not what you needed. This page is part of the terms & conditions.

The short version
- Cancel any time, from your account. No fee, no notice period, nobody to talk to first.
- You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Nothing you saved is deleted when you cancel. The account drops to the free plan ceilings and everything in it stays readable.
- Full refund within 7 days of a first purchase, no reason needed.
- Charges that should never have happened — a duplicate, a renewal after you cancelled — are refunded whenever you find them.
If you are on the free plan
There is nothing to cancel and nothing to refund. The free plan has ceilings rather than a clock — it does not expire and it never charges you. If you want the account itself gone, ask on the support page and it is deleted within 30 days.
How to cancel a paid plan
Cancel from the billing settings in your dashboard. It takes effect immediately in the sense that no further payment will be taken — there is no cancellation fee, no notice period, and no retention call.
If you cannot reach the setting for any reason, send the request from the support page using the email address on the account. A cancellation asked for in writing is honoured from the date you asked, not the date it was processed — so if a renewal is charged in between, it is refunded in full.
What happens when you cancel
You keep every paid feature until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Cancelling on day 2 of a month you paid for does not cut you off on day 2.
After that the account falls back to the free plan's ceilings. This is a downgrade, not a deletion:
- Every item, category and nested branch stays exactly where it is, however deep it goes.
- Archived page copies you already have stay readable, and highlights you already made stay visible.
- A public collection link you already shared keeps working until you take it down.
- Export stays available on the free plan, so you can take everything with you as machine-readable JSON at any point.
What the free ceilings limit is making new things past them. Nothing that already exists is removed, hidden or held hostage.
When we refund
Within 7 days of a first purchase — in full, no reason needed. If you upgraded and Inspistor was not what you needed, say so within 7 days and the payment is returned. You do not have to justify it.
Charges that should not have happened — always. A duplicate payment, a renewal taken after you cancelled, or a charge on an account you did not authorise is refunded in full whenever it is reported, with no time limit.
An outage or defect that made the plan unusable — pro rata. If the service was unavailable or a paid feature was broken for a meaningful stretch of a period you paid for, we refund that portion. You do not need to have logged a ticket at the time.
A material paid feature withdrawn mid-period — pro rata. As set out in the terms, if we remove something material that your plan was bought for, you may cancel and reclaim the unused part of the period.
When we do not
- A renewal you meant to cancel and did not, reported more than 7 days after the charge. Cancel before the renewal date and this never arises — and if it is a genuine mistake, ask anyway, because the paragraph below means what it says.
- The remainder of a period after you simply stopped using the product. You keep the access you paid for until the period ends.
- An account closed by us for a serious breach of the acceptable-use section of the terms.
- Plans that were comped or discounted to zero — there is nothing to return.
These are the defaults, not a wall. If your situation is not on this page and you think a refund is fair, ask and explain — the request is read by a person, and this is a small enough operation to just do the right thing.
How to request a refund
Send the request from the support page using the email address on the account, and include the date and amount of the charge. That is the whole process — there is no form to fill in and no reason field you have to satisfy.
We acknowledge the request within 2 business days and approve or respond within 3.
How the money comes back
Refunds are issued through the payment gateway to the original payment method — the same card, UPI ID or account the payment came from. We cannot send it somewhere else, and we never ask you for card details, an OTP or a password in order to process one. Anyone who does is not us.
Once issued, the money typically reaches your account in 5 to 7 business days. That last stretch is your bank or card issuer's, not ours; the gateway's refund reference is the thing to quote if you need to chase it, and we will give it to you.
Refunds are made in the currency of the original payment. Where a charge crossed currencies, your bank's exchange rate on the refund date may differ slightly from the rate on the purchase date, and any fee your bank charges for that is outside our control.
Failed payments and price changes
If a renewal payment fails, the plan lapses to the free plan's ceilings. Nothing is deleted, and paying resumes the plan from that point. We do not accrue a debt against the account or charge a late fee.
A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for. If a renewal would be charged at a new price, account holders are told before it happens, and cancelling before that date costs nothing.
